The food is always hot, the staff is very friendly and the ambiance is a bit of old school hole-in-the-wall joint. I give it an 8/10.

I've lived in Forney for 4 yrs now and finally said to myself, "Go try this place !!" ....... So glad I did because catfish is one of my all-time favorite comfort foods. Arrived just before 1pm and soon learned they pull pleasant surprises on you here. Ordered the 2-piece dinner and 3 nice filets arrived in the basket. You get 2 sides so I went with their dirty rice and okra. Both were great but they hid 2 Boudin balls under the filets !! Talk about a pleasant surprise. About half-dozen members of the local fire department were enjoying their lunch out on the patio and yes ...... I'll be back !!

This is by far the best catfish restaurant I've ever been to. The catfish is seasoned to perfection. The fries and hush puppies do not disappoint the way they are cooked. With Zydeco and blues playing in the background the ambience will make you feel at home. As we say in Louisiana..... Laissez Le bon temps rouler! Let the good times roll. This food is amazing!

This was only my second time coming here and I don't know why it took me so long. The service was good and the food was excellent. I had the 12 pc shrimp dinner with cabbage and collard greens. I loved there greens! I would go back just for that. Food was hot and fresh. I highly recommend them.

As others have mentioned, this restaurant is in an old Sonic Drive-in space - so nothing special. But don't let the lack of atmosphere make you pass it by. The food is out of this world. We each had the catfish which was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the hushpuppies. The red bean and rice is excellent as well. We will be going back

Came here at 630 on a Thursday not many people here so we got right in. We ordered fish/ shrimp combo with fries, dirty rice, and greens. The fish was excellent. Batter was not to thick and was the kind that was crummy just how we like it. The sides were all good, our favorite was the dirty rice. The place is a hole in the wall kinda vibe which is not a big deal to us. The seats were not great and the tables all had a sticky film on them. The help was nice and quick to get the food ect. This is a number call place so no wait service. Favorite part was the food. Only negative was the tables not being clean. The cost for 2 dinners and a side it was 55$. Soooo. If you're looking for a down a dirty hole in the wall I would recommend this place. If you looking for a date night to impress this is not a papas style place.

Stopped in on the way to an event at the OC Theater. Had a four piece fish dinner with red beans and dirty rice. When I got my food, to my surprise, there was an extra piece of fish with my dinner. As good as the fish was, I am definitely not complaining. The beans were hot and seasoned perfectly as was the rice. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the hush puppies. Not that they were bad, by any means, just compared to the rest of the meal, they were a little underwhelming. A definite great place to eat if you are in or around Forney.

I don't care for the side dishes but I could eat their catfish and shrimp everyday. So good. So fresh. So flavorful. Fast and friendly service. You can call ahead for pickup or sit inside.

This place is near our house and is bigger than it looks. They have a place where you can sit down and a sports bar as an extension. The menu is quite big and they are known for their catfish and shrimp. We ordered the dinner plate, fried green tomatoes and the crawfish pie. Prices were not bad and the cashier that helped us was nice. The food was quite tasty and good. Even though the meal does not look big, it does fill you up as we could not finish the meal between the both of us. Anyways would come here again.
